CARMONA, Cavite — A Bus Rapid Transit line will connect major areas of the 200-hectare SM Carmona City development with major transport hubs in Cavite, according to planning documents.
The proposed route runs through the central corridor of the township in Barangays Maduya and Lantic, linking SM Carmona City with the South Luzon Integrated Transport Exchange and a planned Ayala-led township at the former San Lazaro Leisure Park site.
Several stations along the route are designated as Transit-Oriented Development nodes, positioned near commercial, residential and mixed-use areas to encourage walkability and reduce dependence on private vehicles.
Each station is planned as a high-activity zone integrating transport facilities with offices, retail spaces and residential communities.
The system aims to improve internal circulation within SM Carmona City and provide connectivity between the development, SLITX and the upcoming Ayala township project.
No timeline for implementation has been announced.
