A growing academic corridor is taking shape across the Cavite cities of Dasmariñas, Imus and General Trias, forming the province’s own “University Belt.”
Long the educational core of Cavite, Dasmariñas is home to major institutions that draw students from the province, nearby regions and Metro Manila. Its status is bolstered by University Town in Villar City, a planned modern district whose centerpiece will be a new University of the Philippines (UP) campus.
In Imus, the Vermosa Campus Town is emerging as another hub. It began with De La Salle Santiago Zobel and is expanding with additional universities and colleges.
General Trias is positioning itself as Cavite’s next academic frontier. Within the Riverpark development, Ateneo de Manila University plans to open a new campus. The eventual presence of UP, Ateneo and De La Salle would give Cavite all three of the country’s leading universities, a rare distinction outside Metro Manila.
Nearby areas including Bacoor, Silang, Trece Martires and Tanza are also seeing new education hubs rise, contributing to a connected academic network across the province.
The mix of premier institutions, state university branches and modern campus developments is creating a diverse learning ecosystem aimed at increasing access and opportunity.
