DASMARIÑAS, Cavite — A Meralco employee on his way to his retirement party was shot dead in a road rage incident in Dasmariñas City, police said.
CCTV footage showed a white pickup truck and a red sedan stopping side by side along Abad Santos Avenue in Barangay Salitran 3.
Moments later, the sedan sped away. The pickup’s driver was later found bloodied inside the vehicle.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Colleagues said he was set to retire at the end of the month and described him as a kind man not prone to quarrels.
Police said the shooting likely stemmed from a traffic altercation. Investigators have identified the suspect through CCTV footage and are pursuing the case.
