Kawit, Cavite – Police arrested a regional-level most wanted suspect in Kawit, Cavite, on Thursday night following an intelligence-driven operation, authorities said Friday.
The suspect, identified only as “Mark,” was apprehended around 9:10 p.m. in Barangay Manggahan Lawin by warrant officers under the supervision of acting police chief Lt. Col. Resty Soriano.
Police said the arrest was made by virtue of a court-issued warrant in connection with a violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, specifically for possession of drug paraphernalia under Section 12 of Republic Act 9165. The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 21 in Imus City, Cavite.
The Kawit Municipal Police Station vowed to sustain its crackdown on criminality and warned the public against engaging in illegal activities.
