KAWIT, Cavite – Police arrested a suspected drug personality during a buy-bust operation Tuesday night in Barangay Marulas, Kawit, Cavite.
The suspect, identified only as “Chad,” a resident of Barangay Tramo Bantayan, Kawit, was apprehended around 7:50 p.m. after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected shabu to undercover officers.
The operation was carried out by the Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit and intelligence operatives led by Capt. Ernesto G. Monasterial II, under the supervision of Lt. Col. Resty E. Soriano, and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 4A.
Authorities said the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and is currently detained at the Kawit police station pending proper disposition.
Police said the arrest is part of their intensified campaign against illegal drugs and other forms of criminality in the community.
