Philippine police arrested two suspected drug dealers in an anti-narcotics operation in Kawit, Cavite province, authorities said.
The Drug Enforcement Unit of Kawit Municipal Police Station, working with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, conducted a buy-bust operation on July 25, 2025 that led to the arrests of two men identified only by their aliases “Dan” and “Res,” both residents of nearby Imus City.
Police said the suspects were caught selling a small sachet of suspected methamphetamine, locally known as “shabu,” in Barangay Samala Marquez, Kawit.
The operation was led by Police Captain Ernesto Monasterial II under the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Resty Soriano, the station’s officer-in-charge.
The suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and taken to the police station for processing. Charges will be filed under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Police said the arrests were part of intensified anti-crime operations in the area.
