Police Regional Office 4A (CALABARZON) arrested 42 wanted individuals in a regionwide law enforcement blitz carried out within a 24-hour period.

The simultaneous operations were conducted by various police units across CALABARZON on July 28, leading to the apprehension of eight Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 34 other wanted individuals.

Of the eight MWPs, four were listed at the regional level, while others were classified as most wanted at the provincial, city, and municipal levels.

Among those arrested was an individual identified only as alias Marc, who was wanted for violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He was apprehended at around 1:07 p.m. in Barangay Bigaa, Cabuyao City, Laguna, by personnel from the Cabuyao City Police Station and the 402nd A Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4A.

In Cavite, two suspects with multiple rape charges were arrested in separate operations. Alias Edward, facing four counts of rape, was arrested at around 2:05 p.m. in Barangay Amaya 6, Tanza. Roughly an hour later, alias Virgilio, also with four rape cases, was apprehended in Barangay Julugan 1, Tanza. Both operations were carried out by the Tanza Municipal Police Station.

Meanwhile, alias Jomel, another suspect in a rape case, was captured at 2:52 p.m. in Barangay Olo-olo, Lobo, Batangas, in a joint operation led by the Lobo Municipal Police Station, the 4th Maneuver Platoon of the 1st Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Regional Intelligence Unit 4A.

Brig. Gen. Jack L. Wanky, Regional Director of PRO CALABARZON, lauded the successful operations, calling them a clear demonstration of the police’s commitment to justice and public safety.

“No one can escape the law. Each arrest proves our resolve to deliver justice and protect our communities,” Wanky said in a statement.

He added that the success of the operation was the result of effective intelligence work, coordinated police action, and strong community support.

“PRO CALABARZON will continue to implement sustained efforts to ensure peace and order across the region,” he added.

The operations are part of ongoing intensified efforts under the Philippine National Police’s anti-criminality campaign.
