Man Fatally Shot in Bacoor Alley; Gunman at Large

BACOOR, Cavite – A 32-year-old man was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in a narrow alley in Barangay Zapote Dos late Thursday afternoon, June 26, 2025, police said.

CCTV footage showed the suspect, dressed in black and carrying a blue sling bag, entering the barangay around 5:20 p.m. He was seen purchasing from a nearby store before heading into the alley.

Roughly 20 minutes later, the victim passed by the same area where the gunman was reportedly lying in wait. According to Red Garcia, assistant executive officer of Barangay Zapote Dos, the suspect hid in a corner, chased the victim, and shot him multiple times.

Both the victim and the suspect were not residents of the barangay, Garcia added. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Police are continuing their investigation to identify the shooter and determine the motive behind the killing.
