Bacoor City officials, led by Mayor Strike Revilla, paid a courtesy call Tuesday to Consul General Senen Mangalile at the Philippine Consulate General in New York.
During the visit, the delegation’s official marching band, Banda El Gobernador, performed for Mangalile and his staff.
In his remarks, the Consul General expressed deep gratitude for the group’s visit and musical performance, noting the emotional impact it had on the Filipino community.
He also highlighted the large turnout during the June 1 Sunday parade along Madison Avenue—one of Manhattan’s main thoroughfares—where the band’s performance stirred feelings of joy, nostalgia, and pride among Filipinos in attendance.
Mayor Revilla expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to share Bacoor’s musical heritage abroad.
Revilla was joined by city councilors, department heads, and staff who described the experience as meaningful and unforgettable, further strengthening the city’s cultural ties and Filipino identity.
