DASMARIÑAS, Cavite — A man who lost in gambling went on a stabbing spree and robbed an e-bingo outlet in Dasmariñas, Cavite, according to police reports.
Investigators said the suspect first attacked a security guard with a bladed weapon, seized the guard’s firearm, and shot the cashier. He then stole money from the outlet and fled.
Authorities were able to identify the suspect quickly due to the establishment’s policy requiring valid IDs from players. A knife believed to have been used in the attack was recovered in a vacant lot, and part of the stolen money was retrieved.
The security guard and cashier remain confined at a hospital as they recover from their injuries. The suspect is now in police custody and faces charges of frustrated murder and robbery.
