KAWIT, Cavite – Police arrested two suspected drug personalities during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Aplaya, Kawit, Cavite on April 11, 2025, authorities said Monday.

In a report, the Kawit Municipal Police Station said operatives from its Drugs Enforcement Unit and intelligence team, led by Police Captain Ernesto G. Monasterial II and under the supervision of PLtCol Socrates S. Jaca, conducted the operation in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4A.

Two suspects, identified by their aliases “Pido” and “Panicks,” both residents of Barangay Aplaya, were apprehended after allegedly selling a small heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.

The suspects were informed of their constitutional rights in a language they understood and were brought to the Kawit Municipal Police Station for documentation and further legal proceedings.

Police said the suspects will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The Kawit police reaffirmed their commitment to intensify operations against rampant illegal drugs in Kawit under Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo and other criminal activities as part of the national government’s anti-criminality campaign.
