ALFONSO, Cavite — The Office of the Provincial Cooperatives Development Officer (OPCDO) hosted the Cavite Entrepreneurship Students Caravan on March 12 at Alfonso Integrated High School, bringing together 206 senior high school students to explore the world of entrepreneurship.

The event began with a welcome message from Mylene Lescano, Head Teacher II, who set the stage for a day of learning and inspiration. Liza C. Gabatan, head of OPCDO’s Entrepreneurial Division, then introduced the office’s programs designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs in Cavite.

A keynote lecture by Dr. Leo D. Manansala, director of the Graduate School of Business Management Department at De La Salle University’s College of Business and Accountancy, served as the event’s highlight. Dr. Manansala discussed the importance of an entrepreneurial mindset, emphasizing innovation, resilience, and strategic thinking as key to business success.

The program concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where students shared their insights and aspirations. Many participants expressed enthusiasm about applying the lessons learned to their own entrepreneurial goals.

The Cavite Entrepreneurship Students Caravan is part of OPCDO’s ongoing efforts to cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship among the youth, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a competitive business landscape.
