Buy-bust in Pulvorista, Kawit Nets 2 Drug Dealers

Two drug suspects were arrested on Monday in a police buy-bust operation in Kawit, authorities said.

The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Tony” and “Sophia,” were apprehended at around 1:50 p.m. local time in Barangay Pulvorista after allegedly selling crystal methamphetamine, locally known as “shabu,” to undercover officers.

The operation was conducted by the Kawit Municipal Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 4A (PDEA-4A), according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Socrates S. Jaca, Officer-in-Charge of the station.

The suspects, both residents of the area, were taken into custody and informed of their rights under the Miranda Doctrine, police said.
