More than 500 residents of Dasmarinñas City, Cavite have received free medical and dental care in a one-day health initiative.
The mission, held in Dasmariñas City’s Langkaan II district on Monday, provided check-ups and treatments to some of the area’s most vulnerable residents.
Of the 520 people treated, 458 received medical consultations, while 62 underwent dental procedures. A further 21 residents had access to specialist x-ray and ECG services.
The event was organised by local health workers and backed by City Mayor Jennifer Barzaga, alongside the provincial governor’s office.
“This demonstrates what we can achieve when local government and healthcare providers work together,” said Fernando Laudato, the barangay chairman whose birthday sparked the event.
Medical staff from the General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital led the treatments, supported by community health workers.
The LAB for ALL Program, which supported the mission, aims to expand healthcare access across Cavite province.
