Rosario, Cavite – A massive fire broke out in Sitio Tramo, Brgy. Tejeros Convention, Rosario, Cavite early Thursday, October 11, 2024, leaving four houses destroyed.
According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the fire ravaged four homes, displacing several families.
Residents reported that the blaze was caused by a candle in a house without electricity, which was also a gathering place for local youths.
Firefighters responded quickly, deploying five fire trucks to contain the blaze, which was brought under control before it could spread to a nearby factory within the Epza compound, separated only by a wall.
A 74-year-old man sustained minor injuries in the fire.
The blaze was declared under control at 10:55 am.
