A groundbreaking partnership between the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Calabarzon and local government units in Cavite has provided 674 free student permits and theoretical driving courses to residents, officials said.
The initiative, launched on the first day of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Cavite, is part of President Ferdinand “Bong-Bong” R. Marcos Jr.’s effort to bring essential government services closer to the people.
The fair, which aims to deliver accessible public services nationwide, offered residents of Cavite a unique opportunity to avail themselves of LTO services directly within their communities.
Among the services provided were free theoretical driving courses, student permits, student permit renewals, driver’s license renewals, and motor vehicle registration renewals.
“Our collaboration with the local government has allowed us to deliver these crucial services directly to the people, making the process simpler and more convenient for everyone,” said LTO Calabarzon Regional Director Elmer J. Decena.
The success of the event underscores the potential for similar collaborations across the country, as the LTO and local government units continue to work together to streamline processes and enhance public accessibility to government services.
