Philippine police arrested four suspected drug traffickers and seized more than P523,000 pesos worth of shabu in a series of buy-bust operations in Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal provinces.
According to a report by Police Region 4A on Wednesday, the arrests were made on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In Cainta, Rizal, a suspect known only by the alias “Ambeng” was arrested at 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday after selling shabu to a poseur-buyer in Barangay San Juan. Six sachets of shabu worth P81,600 pesos were seized from the suspect.
In Laguna, a suspect known by the alias “Klim” was arrested in Barangay Nanhaya at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Four sachets of shabu worth P272,000 pesos were seized from the suspect.
In Cavite, two suspects known by the aliases “Boy” and “Melody” were arrested in Barangay Luzviminda 2, Dasmariñas City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Four sachets of shabu worth P170,000 pesos and a mobile phone used in transactions were seized from the suspects.
Authorities said the suspects in Cavite were on the drug watch list as high-value individuals in the province’s drug trade, while those arrested in Laguna and Rizal were identified as pushers.
The arrests were part of the Philippine National Police’s ongoing efforts to combat the country’s illicit drug trade.
