The national government is set to construct the Cavite East-West Lateral Road, a major infrastructure project that aims to improve connectivity and boost economic growth in the province of Cavite.
The 45-kilometer road will connect the municipalities of Silang, Amadeo, Indang, Maragondon, General Emilio Aguinaldo (Bailen), and Magallanes, before extending to Nasugbu in neighboring Batangas province.
The project is expected to reduce travel time across Calabarzon, enhance farm-to-market access, and promote tourism by showcasing the picturesque views of Upland Cavite’s agricultural landscapes.
By linking these municipalities, the East-West Lateral Road is also expected to alleviate traffic congestion on more crowded routes, providing smoother access to local businesses and residential areas.
The road is seen as a key element of Cavite’s provincial road network, complementing other major roads and highways to contribute to more efficient transportation and regional growth.
