Cavite Men with P3.4M Shabu Nabbed in Manila Drug Bust

Two high-value drug suspects hailing from Cavite were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in a Manila mall parking lot on Saturday evening, authorities said.

Joint operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office IV-A, PDEA National Capital Region-Manila District Office, and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Station 5-Manila Police District apprehended the suspects at around 5:20 pm.

The arrested individuals were identified as Binnor Hadji y Hadji Nassif, also known as Johari, a 27-year-old tricycle driver from Datu Ismael, Dasmariñas City, Cavite, and Edwin Rotoni y Aneri, 43, a resident of Barangay San Luis, also in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

Authorities seized approximately 500 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP3.4 million, and marked money used in the buy-bust operation.

The suspects are now in the custody of the PDEA Regional Office IV-A Detention Facility in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. They will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
