A man described as one of the most wanted criminals in the Cavite has been arrested, Cavite police say.
The suspect, known only as “Bruce”, was apprehended in Trece Martires City on Tuesday. The 50-year-old had been sought on murder charges.
Police Colonel Eleuterio M. Ricardo Jr told reporters that the arrest was made by officers from the Tanza Municipal Police Station.
“This operation underscores our commitment to ensuring community safety by bringing wanted persons to justice,” he said.
The suspect is being held at Tanza police station pending court proceedings. No bail has been recommended.
Cavite, located south of Manila, has been stepping up efforts to combat crime in recent months. Local authorities have praised the arrest as a significant breakthrough.
