Over P1 Million Worth of Shabu Seized from 2 Minors in Cavite

BACOOR, Cavite — Authorities in Cavite province have seized over P1 million worth of shabu from two minors in a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City.

The Cavite Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) said that 150 grams of shabu, valued at P1,020,000, were confiscated from the two minors, identified only by their aliases “Ric” and “Julia”, who are residents of Dasmariñas City.

The two minors were taken into custody and brought to the Cavite Police Provincial Office (Cavite PPO) before being turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development office in Bacoor City.

According to police, the minors sold a sachet of shabu worth P55,500 to a police poseur buyer, prompting the operatives to apprehend them.

The suspects were also found to be in possession of the buy-bust money, a cellphone, and a sling bag.

The seizure is part of the intensified campaign against illegal drugs in Cavite, according to Police Colonel Eleuterio Ricardo Jr., provincial director of the Cavite PPO.

“We will continue to strengthen our efforts to maintain a peaceful and orderly province and eradicate the scourge of illegal drugs,” he said.
