BACOOR, Cavite — A 22-year-old transgender was arrested in an entrapment operation by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 4A (RACU 4A) for allegedly spreading obscene videos of her ex-boyfriend.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Jerica”, was arrested after a five-month relationship with a man ended in July 2024.
According to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG), the suspect refused to accept the breakup and retaliated by spreading obscene videos of their intimate encounters to the victim’s relatives and friends.
The suspect then demanded that the victim meet with her and engage in sex in exchange for deleting the videos.
The police set up an entrapment operation, and the victim met with the suspect at a motel in Bacoor, Cavite. The police apprehended the suspect after the meeting.
The suspect faces charges of Grave Coercion and violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
