Tanza LGU Distributes Over ₱18 Million in Aid to Schools for Brigada Eskwela 2024

TANZA, Cavite — The local government of Tanza, Cavite, led by Mayor Yuri Pacumio and Vice Mayor Archangelo “SM” Matro, has distributed over ₱18 million in financial assistance to various schools in the province as part of the Brigada Eskwela 2024 program.

Vice Mayor Matro personally handed over the financial aid and painting materials to the schools, which will be used for cleaning, repairs, and procurement of equipment for the upcoming school year.

Matro also met with school principals, teachers, parents, and students to determine the specific needs of each school.

As of July 31, 2024, the following schools have received financial assistance:

  • Amaya School of Home Industries, ₱2 million
  • Amaya Elementary School, ₱1.5 million
  • Bagtas Elementary School, ₱1.5 million
  • Julugan Elementary School, ₱1.2 million
  • Tanza National Trade School (Main), ₱1.2 million
  • Felipe Calderon Elementary School, ₱1.2 million
  • Paradahan Elementary School, ₱1.2 million
  • Florentino Joya Elementary School, ₱1 million
  • Bienvenido Fojas Memorial Elementary School, ₱1 million
  • Punta Elementary School, ₱1 million
  • Sanja Mayor Elementary School, ₱1 million
  • Maximino Pangilinan Elementary School, ₱1 million
  • Sta Cruz Bucal Elementary School, ₱1 million
  • Tanza National Comprehensive High School, ₱1 million
  • Tanza Trade School Annex, ₱600,000
  • Punta National High School, ₱500,000
  • Tres Cruses Elementary School, ₱200,000

Vice Mayor Matro apologized for the delay in the distribution of the assistance due to the recent typhoon Carina and habagat.

Meanwhile, Matro also announced that all schools in Tanza will have a new 4-story building with 20 classrooms, courtesy of Cavite 7th District Representative Crispin Diego “Ping” Remulla, starting next year.

Currently, Vice Mayor Matro has started distributing school supplies to students in various schools.
