Light Rail Transit-Line 1 (LRT-1) operations will be suspended for three weekends in August to accommodate extension work to Cavite, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) announced Friday.
The suspensions, part of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Phase 1, will occur on:
- Aug. 17-18
- Aug. 24-25
- Aug. 31-Sept. 1
“No commercial train service will be available from Fernando Poe Jr. Station to Baclaran Station during these periods,” LRMC said on Facebook.
The company plans to integrate five new Phase 1 stations from Redemptorist-Aseana Station to Dr. Santos Station with the existing Fernando Poe Jr. and Baclaran stations.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, and local governments of Quezon City, Caloocan City, Manila and Pasay City will assist affected commuters.
LRMC is coordinating with LTFRB to provide additional buses during the suspension.
