Two staff members of a dialysis center in Dasmariñas City, Cavite were arrested Wednesday for allegedly using unregistered dialysis fluids, the National Bureau of Investigation’s National Capital Region office (NBI-NCR) reported.
NBI-NCR agents served a search warrant at the center located on Paliparan Road. They seized dialysis fluids valued at approximately P300,000 pesos.
The employees were arrested after failing to present a License to Operate from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
An attorney for the dialysis center claims the medications used are registered.
The suspects face charges of violating the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009.
