In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, combined law enforcement agencies arrested a high-value drug personality in Imus City, Cavite, and dismantled a marijuana distribution hub in the process.

Wenxer Teoxon y Macaraig, a 27-year-old freelance tattoo artist and video editor, was taken into custody by a joint team of operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team II, PDEA Cavite Provincial Office, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit IV-A, Imus City Police Station-Station Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Tactical Operations Wing, Southern Luzon-Philippine Air Force.

PDEA Cavite scores big in its campaign against illegal drugs.

The arrest was made in Barangay Pinagbuklod, Imus City, where Macaraig’s residence was also located. The authorities seized a significant amount of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, including:

  • 114 assorted vape cartridges containing suspected marijuana oil worth approximately PHP 399,000
  • More or less 20 grams of suspected dried marijuana flower tops worth PHP 30,000
  • More or less 184 grams of Sativa edible gummies worth PHP 17,600
  • 4 pieces of disposable syringes containing more or less 40ml of suspected marijuana resin worth PHP 60,000

Macaraig is expected to face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. He is currently detained at the PDEA Regional Office IV-A Detention Facility in Santa Rosa City, Laguna.
