BACOOR CITY, Cavite: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has commenced construction on a 12-storey building at Cavite State University’s (CvSU) Bacoor City Campus, officials said on Saturday.
The groundbreaking ceremony in Barangay Molino 3 was attended by key figures including Dr. Melbourne Talactac, CvSU Vice President for Research and Extension, and Engr. Isidro O. Encarnacion, DPWH Region IV-A Assistant Regional Director.
The new structure, spanning 40,000 square meters, aims to accommodate the university’s growing student population and enhance educational quality through improved facilities.
Features of the building include:
– A basement level
– Recreational facilities
– A school terminal
– Various spaces for academic and extracurricular activities
The project represents a significant government investment in the education sector, particularly in Cavite province, reflecting the administration’s commitment to strengthening public higher education infrastructure.
Completion date and project cost were not immediately available.
