KAWIT, Cavite – A district-wide clean-up drive began this week in Cavite’s First District, marking the start of a ten-day initiative to prepare for the upcoming rainy season and potential flood threats.

The operation kicked off in Barangay Batong Dalig, Kawit, where local residents worked to clear canals, drainages, creeks, and streets. The effort is part of a broader campaign across the district to ensure community safety and cleanliness.

By participating in clean-ups, individuals contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable planet. Removing litter and waste from public spaces helps maintain a healthier environment for everyone. These events also foster a sense of responsibility and community spirit, strengthening connections among neighbors.

Congressman Jolo Revilla, in collaboration with Kawit LGU and various government agencies including MENRO, PESO, and DOLE, is spearheading the initiative.

“We aim to safeguard our communities through proactive measures,” Revilla said.

He pointed out the importance of responsible waste disposal and ongoing environmental care, regardless of the season.

The clean-up drive is scheduled to continue for ten days, targeting various areas within Cavite’s First District.
