TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite —The Provincial Government of Cavite held a seminar aimed at equipping local employment officers with skills to navigate the rapidly evolving job market.
The event, titled “Transforming into Modern Placement Officers: Navigating the Ever-Changing Dynamic Job Market,” took place on June 25 at the Legislative Building’s Session Hall.
Rizalie Pinpin-Enero, the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager, welcomed participants from various schools across the region.
The seminar featured key speakers including Jorge Manuel C. Laude, a Senior Labor and Employment Officer from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office, who presented five critical strategies for modernizing placement practices.
Anne Marie Faye M. Gloria, Labor and Employment Officer III from the DOLE Cavite Provincial Office, provided guidelines for Job Placement Officer accreditation, addressing a crucial aspect of professional development in the field.
The event underscores the Philippine government’s efforts to adapt its workforce to global employment trends.
As businesses increasingly demand specialized skills and digital literacy, local employment offices are under pressure to modernize their approaches to job placement and career guidance.
Marivic B. Martinez, Provincial Director of DOLE’s Cavite office, attended the seminar, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in aligning local employment practices with national labor policies.
The seminar is part of a broader push by Philippine regional governments to enhance the capabilities of their employment services in response to changing labor market dynamics, including the rise of remote work and the gig economy.
The successful completion of the seminar was marked by the distribution of participation certificates, signaling a step forward in professionalizing job placement services in Cavite province.
