The second batch of 100 college scholars from towns in Cavite’s First District have received scholarships worth ₱25,000. The distribution of aid was led by Cavite 1st District Rep. Jolo Revilla for selected students from Rosario, Noveleta, Kawit, and Cavite City.

This is part of the Student Monetary for Recovery and Transition (SMART) program of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in collaboration with Congressman Revilla’s office, which aims to provide a one-time fixed grant to college students. The scholarship recipients were selected based on their general weighted average (GWA) from the previous semester of the 2022-2023 school year.

Revilla reminded the scholars to study hard as they are the hope and potential future leaders of the country.

“You are truly our inspiration in serving, because I believe that now is really the time for our youth,” said Revilla.

The congressman also thanked the parents and guardians for the support they provide to the students.

“I know how important your children’s education is in achieving their dreams, so I am with you in advocating for the welfare of the youth of our district,” Revilla added.
