TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite — The Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager (OPPESM) and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) have launched a new initiative to streamline passport applications for residents of Cavite. The “Passport on Wheels” event, held on April 26, 2024, at SM City Trece Martires, served over 400 applicants.
The initiative, aimed at making passport application more accessible and convenient, provided a one-stop-shop for individuals looking to obtain or renew their passports. It eliminated the need for residents to travel long distances to DFA offices, saving them time and effort.
The Passport on Wheels brought the services directly to the community, allowing more people to avail themselves of this essential document without inconvenience.
Applicants were able to complete the necessary requirements on-site, including document verification, data encoding, and biometric capturing. The presence of DFA personnel and OPPESM staff ensured a smooth and efficient processing experience.
The partnership between OPPESM and DFA is a testament to the collaborative effort to improve public service delivery.
By bringing government services closer to the people, initiatives like Passport on Wheels significantly enhance accessibility and convenience, aligning with the government’s goal of promoting efficiency and responsiveness in serving the needs of the people.
