In a move to commemorate Earth Day 2024, the local government of Imus City, under the leadership of City Mayor Alex “AA” L. Advincula and Vice Mayor Homer “Saki” T. Saquilayan, along with the city council members, have unveiled 50 eco-carts and two eco cabs. These will be deployed to the eco-aides across various barangays in Imus, as announced on Monday, April 22, 2024.

The eco cabs were also the subject of a blessing ceremony, signifying their readiness for use in large-scale clean-up operations across the city.

The eco cabs and eco-carts are a token of appreciation from Mayor AA and Congressman Adrian Jay “AJ” C. Advincula, aimed at aiding the eco-aides in their environmental endeavours.

This year’s Earth Day theme, “Planet vs. Plastics”, seeks to raise public awareness about the perils of plastic pollution, highlighting its detrimental effects on both human and animal health.
