Naic, Cavite — In a move aimed at safeguarding the health of its residents, Naic Municipal Mayor Ruperto C. Dualan has issued an Executive Order encouraging the voluntary use of face masks.
The directive, known as Executive Order No. 3, S. 2024, seeks to curb the spread of Pertussis, a highly contagious respiratory infection.
The entire province of Cavite has been grappling with a surge in Pertussis cases, prompting authorities to declare a State of Calamity.
As the situation unfolds, Naic Municipality is taking proactive steps to protect its citizens by emphasizing the importance of face mask usage.
Residents are urged to comply with this voluntary measure, which aims to mitigate the risk of infection and promote community well-being.
By donning face masks, individuals contribute to the collective effort to combat the disease and ensure a healthier environment for all, Mayor Dualan said.
As the battle against Pertussis continues, Naic remains steadfast in its commitment to public health, he added.
The Executive Order serves as a reminder that individual actions can have a significant impact on community health outcomes, the Mayor said.
