In a coordinated operation, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) successfully apprehended a wanted architect and his associate, a businessman, on charges of estafa and illegal possession of firearms.

The operation, led by QCPD Director P/Brig.Gen. Redrico A. Maranan and executed by the District Special Operation Unit (DSOU), took place at a gas station in Bacoor, Cavite.

The suspects, identified as 50-year-old architect Dennis John De Leon Bautista and 36-year-old businessman Christian Dino Reyes Alarcon, were arrested at 9:15 p.m. on March 30, 2024.

The arrest warrant, issued by the Regional Trial Court of Tagaytay City, led to the discovery of two illegal firearms in the suspects’ vehicle, a Mitsubishi Expander with plate number NEU-5063.

Despite presenting a license and permit for firearm possession, the serial numbers did not match the documents, resulting in Alarcon’s arrest.

Bautista failed to produce any legal documents for his firearm.

Items recovered include a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, Glock 43x, ammunition, a cellular phone, and the vehicle.

Both suspects will face charges under the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

QCPD Director Maranan praised the joint efforts of the operatives and reassured the public of the department’s commitment to combating crime and maintaining public order.
