In a significant crackdown on illegal drug trade, Cavite police forces have arrested two men in Dasmariñas City, seizing 30 grams of suspected shabu valued at Php 204,000.
The operation, executed on March 11, was a collaborative effort between the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station.
The suspects, aged 41 and 37, were residents of Barangay Sampaloc IV, where the sting took place. They were apprehended while transacting with an undercover officer.
Recovered in the operation were a medium-sized sachet containing about 25 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of Php170,000, and additional sachets weighing roughly 5 grams, valued at Php34,000.
Currently detained, the suspects are facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. The evidence is undergoing forensic analysis at the Cavite Provincial Forensic Unit.
The successful operation has drawn commendation from PBGEN Paul Kenneth T. Lucas, Regional Director of PRO CALABARZON, who highlighted the importance of community support in the ongoing battle against criminality.
