A family reunion turned into a nightmare when an 8-year-old boy drowned in a resort pool in Bacoor, Cavite over the weekend.

According to the Bacoor PNP, the boy jumped into the pool with his sibling. While swimming, the sibling noticed that the victim was drowning and called for help.

The father pulled the boy out of the water and tried to revive him using CPR. The boy was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the doctor.

It was learned that there was no standby lifeguard or personnel who knew CPR, and there was also no warning or sign related to the depth of the pool.
