BACOOR CITY, Cavite – A joint operation by anti-drug authorities led to the discovery and dismantling of a suspected drug den and the arrest of three drug personalities in this city on the night of February 21, 2024.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team II, PDEA Cavite Provincial Office, Tactical Operations Wing, Philippine Air Force-Special Logistics and Bacoor City Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation at Barangay Molino III at around 10:20 p.m.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Romnick Noya Mocara, alias Romnick, Gino Rivera Caña, alias Gino, and Teofisto Tali Antimora, alias Tattoo, who were allegedly operating the drug den.

The authorities seized more or less 15 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Php102,000.00, buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia from the suspects.

The suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act No 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly for selling, possessing and using illegal drugs, and maintaining a drug den.

PDEA said the operation was part of their intensified campaign against illegal drugs in the region.

“We will continue to conduct operations to dismantle drug dens and arrest drug personalities in Cavite and other areas in our jurisdiction,” PDEA said in a statement.

PDEA also urged the public to report any suspicious activities related to illegal drugs to the PDEA hotline or the nearest police station.
