Medical and Dental Mission Serves 621 Residents in GMA

A medical and dental mission took place on February 6, 2024, in Brgy. Benjamin Tirona, GMA, bringing essential healthcare services to 621 residents.

Led by the OPG and GEAMH Medical and Dental team, with the support of CARSIGMA RHU, Imus Medical and Dental team, and volunteers from Christian Grace School of Cavite-GMA, the mission demonstrated the collective skills and dedication of healthcare professionals in addressing the community’s healthcare needs.

The program was smoothly carried out with the help of Punong Barangay Ma. Josephine O. Binaday and Barangay Health Workers, who facilitated the delivery of vital services to the people.

A total of 492 individuals received medical check-ups, treating various health issues and providing appropriate care.

Moreover, 53 beneficiaries received dental extractions, improving their dental health and overall well-being. The OPG staff also gave out prescription medicines, supplements, vitamins, and mosquito repellent lotion to beneficiaries.

In addition, the mission offered specialized services (LAB for ALL), such as 40 electrocardiograms (ECG) and 36 x-rays, ensuring a holistic approach to healthcare delivery. These diagnostic tests play an important role in detecting underlying health problems, enabling early diagnosis and treatment.

The mission was a resounding success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the committed medical and dental practitioners, volunteers, and local government officials.

Their service to the community and advocacy for health equity has surely made a positive difference in the lives of the beneficiaries. (PR)
