Cavite Police Arrest Rape Suspect in Tanza

The Cavite police have arrested a rape suspect who was ranked as the second most wanted person in the province.

The suspect, who goes by the alias “Mark”, was apprehended in Barangay Daang Amaya 1, Tanza, Cavite on Monday, January 8, 2024, according to a press release from the Cavite Police Provincial Office.

Mark, a resident of Barangay Capipisa, Tanza, Cavite, was wanted for the crime of rape under Article 266-A, paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code. He had a warrant of arrest issued by the Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 5, Trece Martires City Cavite, with no bail recommended.

The arrest was the result of an intelligence-driven operation by the personnel of the Warrant Section of Tanza Municipal Police Station, led by Officer-in-Charge PLtCol. Willy B. Salazar.

Mark is now under the custody of Tanza Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office said it remains committed to hunting down people with an existing warrant of arrest to make sure that they will face the charges filed against them in court.
