The Office of the Provincial Tourism Officer of Cavite recognized the outstanding contributions of tourism stakeholders at the 2024 Cavite Tourism Excellence Awards held recently at Hotel Casiana, Tagaytay City.

The event, which capped off the successful Provincial Tourism Month celebration, was attended by Department of Tourism IV-A Regional Director Marites Castro, who praised the passion, dedication, and collaborative spirit of tourism stakeholders that contributed to the industry’s successful recovery.

Castro noted the essence of the tourism sector in preserving and promoting cultural heritage, and noted that the future of the industry will require adaptable, innovative, and forward-thinking approaches.

She concluded her speech by expressing her pride in the region, saying “Love Cavite, Love CALABARZON, Love the Philippines.”

The awards ceremony recognized the excellent work and invaluable contributions of tourism stakeholders, with Escala Hotel Tagaytay representative Ms. Pearl delivering an acceptance speech that highlighted the hotel’s commitment to providing quality service delivery for tourists.

Provincial Tourism Officer Elinia Imelda Rozelle Sangalang congratulated the awardees, noting that their achievements were the result of collaborative efforts.

She also lauded the work done by DOT IV-A, which has made the region one of the top tourist destinations in the Philippines.

Cavite ranked 8th among the most visited destinations in the country, out of 82 provinces.

Sangalang encouraged everyone to continue supporting the tourism sector, to remain competitive and at par with other tourist destinations.

“Together, we can achieve greater success and become the preferred and top destination in the Philippines,” she said.

The event also featured a cultural performance by the Las Cuerdas Caviteños Rondalla from Cavite City, which added to the festive atmosphere.

The Cavite Tourist Excellence Awards 2024 is part of the province’s celebration of Tourism Month, showcasing the diverse gems, treasures, and heritages of Cavite, as well as the passion of partner agencies and tourism stakeholders that make the province shine brightly on the map of the Philippines.
