PDEA Seizes Shabu, Ecstasy Worth P1.8 Million in Dasmariñas City

PDEA authorities have confiscated a large quantity of illegal drugs worth P1.8 million during a joint operation in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

On August 29, 2024, operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office IV-A, PDEA Cavite Provincial Office, Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Drug Enforcement Unit IV-A, and PNP City Drug Enforcement Unit-Dasmariñas City Police Station arrested three individuals suspected of being high-value drug personalities.

The suspects, identified as Lenard Cañete y Cuenca, 27, Abegail Arandia y Gomez, 21, and Claire Ann Adolfo y Rosel, 21, were arrested during a buy-bust operation along Molino-Paliparan Road in Barangay Paliparan 2, Dasmariñas City.

Authorities seized approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P680,000 and 800 pieces of blue tablets suspected to be ecstasy worth P1,360,000, as well as the buy-bust money from the suspects.

The suspects, all residents of the same barangay, will face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

One suspect, Jomel Martinez, remains at large.
