Drug Pusher from Manggahan-Lawin, Kawit Arrested

The Kawit Municipal Police Station has apprehended a drug personality for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) and Presidential Decree 1602.

The operation is part of the station’s ongoing campaign to combat rampant criminal activities in Kawit and enhance community safety.

On June 28, 2024, at approximately 02:20 AM, the Drugs Enforcement Unit and Intel Operatives, operating under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Richard D. Corpuz, the Chief of Police, collaborated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4A.

Together, they conducted an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Toclong, Kawit, Cavite. The operation led to the arrest of an individual known as “Avie,” a resident of Barangay Manggahan-Lawin, Kawit, Cavite.

The suspect was caught selling a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected “Shabu” (methamphetamine) and an ending card with betting information.

Following the arrest, the suspect was informed of their constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine.

The Kawit Municipal Police Station remains committed to its tireless efforts in combating criminality in Kawit.
