In a significant crackdown on drug-related offenses, a suspect was detained in Kawit, Cavite, for allegedly violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The Kawit Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of Police Lieutenant Colonel Richard D. Corpuz, has been actively pursuing a campaign to combat criminal activities within the community.
The arrest occurred during a coordinated anti-drug operation by the Drug Enforcement Unit and Intelligence Operatives recently.
The individual, known by the alias “Robby,” was apprehended after allegedly selling a small quantity of “Shabu,” contained in a heat-sealed plastic sachet, in Barangay Balsahan-Bisita.
Following the arrest, the suspect was informed of his rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he could understand. He was then taken to the local police station for further processing.
The Kawit Municipal Police Station has reaffirmed its commitment to relentless efforts against all forms of criminality, emphasizing this operation as a stern warning against the use of illegal substances.
