Silang, Cavite Receives Comprehensive Medical Aid from Provincial Government

In a remarkable display of commitment to public health, the Cavite provincial government successfully conducted a medical mission in Silang, Cavite, on March 18, 2024. The mission aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the local community, particularly focusing on the underserved areas.

The event was graced by the presence of Silang Municipal Mayor Kevin Alston Anarna and members of the Sangguniang Bayan, who expressed profound gratitude to the Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC) for their unwavering support and dedication to the welfare of the Silangeños.

A team from the Office of the Provincial Health Officer (OPHO) collaborated with the Silang Rural Health Unit (RHU) to offer free medical check-ups and consultations, benefiting an impressive number of 872 individuals. Additionally, 70 residents received dental consultations from public health dentists, addressing a range of oral health issues.

In a concerted effort to alleviate health-related concerns, staff from the Office of the Provincial Governor distributed necessary medications, vitamins, and insect repellent lotions. This gesture was particularly impactful for those who were previously anxious about accessing these vital resources.

The medical mission also provided complimentary eye examinations, pneumococcal vaccinations, and anti-rabies shots for pets, ensuring a holistic approach to the health needs of the community.

This initiative stands as a testament to the PGC’s dedication to fostering a direct connection with its citizens and understanding their healthcare requirements, including those in marginalized sectors. The success of this mission underscores the provincial government’s role in enhancing the quality of life for all Caviteños.
