To protect the public from rabies and keep pets healthy, the city government of General Trias launched its yearly vaccination program for dogs and cats in Bgy. Buenavista II.
The program, led by the Office of the City Veterinarian under Dra. Gloria Digma, ran for three days on February 23, 28, and 29.
According to agricultural technologist Gaylord Aguilar, who works for the city government, 953 pets (693 dogs and 270 cats) received anti-rabies shots during the program.
He was joined by city staff vet member Mary Louryse Trinidad and volunteer students from the Cavite State University in administering the vaccines.
