IMUS, Cavite — The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has shut down a beauty salon and training center in this city for alleged involvement in illegal recruitment activities.
The operation was carried out by DMW personnel in coordination with the local government and police authorities.
According to the investigation, the establishment was allegedly collecting P15,000 from applicants in exchange for training in hairstyling and spa services, along with promises of employment in Saudi Arabia with a reported monthly salary of P35,000.
The salon owner is facing charges for violating the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act.
