PDEA seizes P78 million in illegal drugs in Cavite

IMUS, Cavite — Authorities arrested a suspect and seized more than P78 million worth of illegal drugs in a controlled delivery operation Friday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said the suspect claimed two balikbayan boxes sent through a cargo forwarding service in Barangay Bucandala I.

Inside the boxes, agents found over 25 kilograms of kush, or high-grade marijuana, and more than 11 kilograms of shabu, PDEA said in a statement.

The suspect’s name was not released.
