BACOOR CITY, Cavite — An armed man robbed an Alfamart convenience store early Saturday in Bacoor City, Cavite, marking the second holdup at an Alfamart branch in the province within two days.
The suspect entered the Alfamart at Soldier Hills 4, Barangay Molino 6, at about 4:15 a.m. Saturday, posing as a customer before pulling out a gun, according to police reports.
The suspect pointed the weapon at cashier April, who was identified only by her first name, and demanded money. The cashier handed over approximately P5,000 pesos in store receipts.
Police described the suspect as wearing a black T-shirt and jacket, black balaclava, camouflage shorts and a nutshell helmet. He fled on a magenta and white Yamaha Mio Sporty motorcycle toward Barangay San Nicolas 3.
Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspect and trace his route before and after the robbery.
On Thursday, three men on a motorcycle robbed another Alfamart branch in Barangay Malagasang 1-E, Imus City, taking an estimated P75,000 pesos at about 2:50 a.m., police said.
Authorities are urging businesses to tighten security, particularly during early morning hours, as the investigation continues.
