BACOOR, Cavite — Police in Bacoor launched a crime-prevention system designed to speed emergency response and protect businesses.

The Bacoor Component City Police Station introduced Project SOS: Strike One SMS during a coordination meeting at the Strike Multipurpose Hall in Barangay Bayanan. Lt. Alexie A. Desamito led the session attended by local officials, police officers, developers and convenience store representatives.

Provincial Board Member Alde Pagulayan, City Councilor Manolo Galvez, Lt. Basman A. Macarangal Jr., Maj. Kris Albin B. Gonzales and programmer Yvan Mercado participated.

Officials reviewed crime data from 2023 to 2025 and discussed security measures for commercial establishments, including window transaction policies, CCTV systems, door-clamping mechanisms and intercom integration.

Police demonstrated the OR-MS-ART rapid-response device, which sends instant alerts to law enforcement during robberies. Macarangal suggested adding an acknowledgment feature to confirm police units receive alerts.

Pagulayan and Galvez pledged support for the project and said they would explore passing a local ordinance to institutionalize the program citywide.

Desamito thanked stakeholders and the local government for their cooperation in protecting convenience store employees and customers.
