DASMARIÑAS, Cavite— A new spur road is under construction here, part of a modern infrastructure push to improve connectivity and support rapid commercial and residential growth in a key urban corridor south of Manila.
The road branches off from the existing Dasmariñas–General Trias Diversion Road. The initial phase, which utilizes the recently opened San Jose–Kiko Rosa Road and extends to Parklane Country Homes, is expected to be extended to connect with the Open Canal along the Ylang-Ylang River.
Planners envision the route becoming a critical link in a larger network. It is positioned to eventually connect with the main access road of the under-construction Minami Residences and with GT Boulevard in the Riverpark development.
Once fully operational, the spur road is projected to cut travel times across several barangays in the adjacent cities of Dasmariñas, General Trias, and Imus.
The improved mobility is anticipated to alleviate traffic congestion that has accompanied the area’s population boom.
The project underscores the Philippine government’s focus on infrastructure to manage urban expansion. By enhancing linkages between residential subdivisions and major highways, officials aim to stimulate further economic activity in one of Cavite’s most dynamic growth areas.
